12 October 2024 - Tunstall via Thistlewood Lane and Wolsingham Moors

14 walkers enjoyed the Wayfarers' October free guided walk. The route onto the moors above Wolsingham provided great views of Tunstall Reservoir and along Weardale. The rain held off until we arrived back in the town!

14 September 2024 - Wolsingham Circular

22 walkers and 1 dog took part in the Wolsingham Wayfarers' September free guided walk following a 7 mile circular route along Grenwell Edge and Canada Banks. Thanks to Collette and Trevor for the photos, (and thanks to Des for staying awake!).

17 August 2024 - Wolsingham Wayfarers leaflet links Weardale Railway with Stanhope

The Wolsingham Wayfarers, funded by Weardale Area Action Partnership, have produced a free walk leaflet after working with the team based at Weardale Railway.

The aim of the leaflet is to provide two walk routes which will take passengers from the railway station at Stanhope into the town.

8 June 2024 - St. John's Hall

16 walkers and 1 dog took part in the Wolsingham Wayfarers' June free guided walk, walking to St. John's Hall via Wigside and Drydersdale Plantation. We were rewarded with a spectacular show of colourful rhododendrons in the summer sunshine

11 May 2024 - Black Banks & River Wear

A great walk in the May sunshine with 28 walkers enjoying the wonderful scenery around Black Banks and the River Wear.

13 April 2024 - Ladley Burn and Newlands

22 walker (and 3 dogs) took part in our April free guided walk, taking in Ladley Burn and Newlands, and great to see some new faces!

9 March 2024 - Tunstall

Another great guided walk which, despite a miserable weather forecast, saw 22 walkers and 2 (large) dogs complete a 8.5 mile walk to Tunstall via Wolsingham North Moor and Park Walls. Thank you all for the great company

10 February 2024 - Thornley Gill

19 walkers and 1 dog enjoyed stunning views on the Wolsingham Wayfarers free guided walk to Thornley Gill.

13 January 2024 - Harehope Quarry

26 walkers turned out for the first Wolsingham Wayfarer's free guided walk of 2024. The 8 mile walk took us through the mud to Harehope Quarry returning along the river.
